Join us for an engaging weekend with Nik and Ruth Ripken, long-term missionaries and leading experts on the persecuted church. At the Compelled conference, we will participate in teaching and dialogue that highlights God’s work around the nations (especially in difficult contexts), provides tools that help us cross the street and ocean with the gospel, and calls us to consider our willingness to truly follow God and risk it all in Jesus' name.
About Nik and Ruth Ripken
Nik and his wife, Ruth, lived and worked overseas for over 30 years. During this time they served in war-torn and famine stricken areas organizing mobile medical clinics, the resettlement of refugees, and famine relief as they demonstrated and proclaimed the good news of Jesus Christ. After working alongside many believers who suffered persecution and martyrdom for their newfound faith, the Holy Spirit led them to do further learning from these individuals who risked everything to follow Jesus. Since that time, Nik and Ruth have interviewed upwards of 600 people in over 72 countries that have endured persecution in order to piece together the biblical principles of what it means to not just survive, but thrive when enduring persecution. Nik and Ruth have created resources to challenge the Western church in what it really means to count the cost and risk it all in Jesus' name.
