Hands at Work service centers support a number of local communities by enabling the operational skills and spiritual maturity of community based organizations. The Kitwe Service Center, lead by Pastor Blessings Sambo, provides guidance and support for Zimba, Sunset's supported community.

Pastor Blessings was already working with like-minded Christians in a community called Mulenga to visit and care for the sick and dying. One of the members of their team met Hands at Work co-founder George Snyman in nearby Ndola during a presentation about Hands at Work, and learned of their model of care for communities by serving as scaffolding for local volunteers from local churches. Pastor Blessings shared that he was "convicted by scripture to join because this is God’s act."

Prayer Request

Pastor Blessings asks that we lift up his family in prayer - that God grant them wisdom and strength as they strive to serve, even during times of heartache and weariness. He also asks that we lift up the new church he has planted in Luanshya (Breaking Barriers Ministry) - that people might respond to the gospel call. Pastor Blessing's wife recently started a new school (currently with 12 students). They would like to see it grow and become a blessing to their community. And finally, he asked that we consider lifting up his two boys (Shekinah and Shemaiah), that they might continue to grow and mature in their faith.
