Patio Café – THIS Sunday May 19 after each Worship Service

Sunset Artisan Fair – Saturday June 1, 11am-4pm, CE Building

Our 4th Annual Sunset Artisan Fair in the CE Auditorium and CE Gym will feature handmade crafts and food. All proceeds will benefit Because Justice Matters (BJM). BJM aims to reach, support and restore women who have been sexually exploited, victims of domestic violence, or isolated by cultural or economic challenges. Sunset East Asia Mission Team Patio Lunch - Sunday, June 9, 12:45pm

Join us for a delicious Southern home-cooked meal (pulled pork sandwiches, mac & cheese, cornbread, brussel sprouts, sweet tea and dessert) in the patio after the 11:30am service on Sunday, June 9th. Suggested lunch donation is $10-15 per person and the proceeds will go towards supporting the Sunset East Asia Missions Trip. The whole team will be there and would love to meet & fellowship with you! Please sign up at the Connection Kiosk before June 3rd.

East Asia Missions Trip Book Donation Drive – Today thru June 16

Do you have children's books lying around that you don't use? We are currently preparing for our trip to East Asia this summer and looking for donations as we will be working at a children's library. We are currently looking for books that include, but not limited to, books with stories that show character (helping one another, caring for others, being courageous, joyful, etc.), picture books, kids' board books such as Touch and Feel books, and books that lead children to look and find for things like Where's Waldo or I Spy (please, no Disney or Ct in the Hat books). If you have books to donate, please drop it off in the collection bin in the lobby. Any questions, please email Harmonie at harmoniemwong@gmail.com.

Praise Dance - Every Thursday, 7-8pm 

Men and women of all ages are welcome to join the Praise Dance at the Worship Center Lobby. We will dance with the Lord in mind to praise aerobics - cardio exercises designed with movements to loosen all those tight muscles from work and from everyday life. No previous experience needed! Africa Ministry Sharing - Sunday May 26, 10:15am & 1pm

James 1:27 defines Real Religion as “...pure and undefiled before God, the Father..., to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” Come join Abe & Suzette on Sunday May 26th at either 10:15am in the CE Auditorium or at 1pm after service in the Worship Center Sanctuary. Abe & Suzette will share about the village of Zimba in Zambia and how you can reach out to help..

Sunset Chinese School - Fall 2013 (September 7 - December 14)

The mission of Sunset’s Chinese School is to share the love of Christ with children and their families through the teaching of the Chinese language and cultural programs. Our Chinese School is accepting applications starting now until Sept 14. For more information or to apply, please pick up an application at the Welcome kiosk or visit the Chinese School on Saturdays between 1-4pm.

City Impact Seeks Health Care Providers

City Impact will host an informational dinner to promote its Health and Wellness Center.  They hope to have a licensed clinic to serve the health care needs of the residents of the Tenderloin.  Their dental clinic is currently operational.  The dinner will be at 7pm Friday, June 7 at 140 Turk Street.  Join us at the Sunset sponsored table.  If you have questions or would like to attend, please contact Gary Gin at dr.gin@sfpeds.com

CampToons Summer Day Camp

CampToons will be held June 17 - July 26, 2013 for children entering 1st - 8th grade in Fall 2013. Registration forms are available at the Welcome Kiosk or can be downloaded online. Register now. Church Staff Announcements

Margie Fong has announced that she will be stepping down from her position as Cantonese Music Director, effective at the end of June.  She will continue to attend Sunset Church.  We appreciate Margie for her eight years of faithful service on our church staff.  Please join us in prayer for God to bless Margie in her future endeavors and for God’s provision on the Elders/Pastors/Staff/ Worship Ministry Leaders as they make preparations for ministry needs during this time of transition
