MISSIONARY CARE
Were you able to make it to our table in December to send Christmas greetings to our missionaries? Thank you if you did.
But we need caring SENDERS/PRAYERS year round. (Check out the "Believer"s Responsiblities" page to find out what a sender is.) The Missions Committee is organizing groups to pray and care for our homegrown missionaries abroad. It ain't hard to do, but we want people who can care for the long haul... just like our missionaries are out there for the long haul. For details.
WORLD CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP (monthly)
The World Christian Fellowship is best known for producing the World Christian Conference. They also organize local prayer meetings. There is one meeting at our church usually held the first Sunday evening of the month. A lively time of fellowship, food, and prayer. Often they have missionaries come to share. For details.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS INC. (ongoing)
If you have looked over the "Believer's Responsibility" page in the Global Outreach section of this site, you'll know that being a "Welcomer" is one of the six things we can do to help forward God's mission. There are students from all over the world, including those from countries where sharing the Gospel is illegal, coming to the Bay Area every year. ISI can train you and help you connect with these students. You can be an English conversation friend to a new student, host a holiday party to share a little bit of American culture to the students, perhaps provide a temporary home for them, or just join one of the Table Talk meetings where people just hang to play board games and talk. You will be amazed at how much you can learn just talking with people from another culture. For details.
