BOOKS

Cat and Dog Theology: Rethinking Our Relationship With Our Master by Bob Sjogren, Gerald Robison
This book challenges the readers’ understanding of their relationship with God. Our understanding of how we relate to God may not be wrong, but it may be incomplete. The God-given traits of cats (‘you exist to serve me’) and dogs(‘I exist to serve you’) can be similar to certain theological attitudes held by many Christians. In our personal theologies, some attitudes may draw us closer to God, and others can also pull us away from Him. This book will help the reader differentiate those attitudes, and, as a result, draw closer to the God who delights in them!

Out of the Salt Shaker by Rebecca Manley Pippert
The author herself was one of those uptight and nervous about evangelism. Full of stories of how God helped her overcome her anxiety.  Full of practical insights on “lifestyle evangelism”. A classic.

Operation World  by Patrick Johnstone &
Jason Mandryk

A remarkable peoples-and-prayer encyclopedial tells what God has been doing in numerous countries. Factual and detailed, Operation World is inspiring in its coverage of the powerful reality of God’s Spirit at work around the world.

Let the Nations Be Glad by John Piper
Drawing on texts from the Old and New Testaments, Piper demonstrates that worship is the ultimate goal of the church and that proper worship drives missionary outreach. Essential reading for all those involved in or preparing for mission work.
