Missions (i.e. global evangelism) is not about Christians seeking to make everyone think the way we do. It's not about restoring morality to the world. We do it because God has told us He wants Himself to be known and worshipped among all the different tribes, tongues, and nations in this vast world –– people He has created. And He has chosen His believers to be the means of reaching the world.
Sunset Church currently allocates a percentage of its general fund for overseas missionary workers and for missions education ( in the form of short term missions trips, conferences and other learning opportunities) . The task of developing a strategy to carry out the church’s vision, of selecting missionaries to support, and of managing the funds is handled by a committee of lay members and pastoral staff.
Sunset Church intentionally seeks to support those workers serving the most unreached areas of the world, because we feel these are areas with the greatest need and these areas are also getting the least amount of attention from the North American Church.
The leadership at Sunset Church hopes to engage every member in the task of global missions both at home and abroad.
We are always seeking passionate and able believers to be involved in God's global plan.
